If you want to live longer, move to leafy Richmond upon Thames. People in this west London borough live longer than anywhere else in England, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics just published.
Richmond men have an HLE (that's Healthy Life Expectancy) of 70.3 years, women 72.1 years. A dozen miles or so downriver at Tower Hamlets, the HLE for women is much lower, at 54.1 years.
