Iain Sinclair Swans up the Thames

A good day at Somerset House yesterday, with a variety of speakers for Tales of the Thames – at which four Father Thames stories were distributed to the audience throughout the day. Last of the writers' talks was by Iain Sinclair with a video and recollections of the pedalo swan he sailed from Hastings to Rye, thence up the Rother and overland to the Medway and the Thames, ending up at the Olympic Park. An heroic/Homeric journey.
The performance is repeated, with a different cast and titled Swandown, at the British Library on Sunday July 8, 2.30-4pm .
